I have been playing at Full Tilt Poker for several years. In the beginning, I wasn’t in love with it because I had a bit of an issue. After one bad night, I freaked out and told them to close my account. I can’t tell you how long and how much effort it took for them to reopen my account. It seems as though they thought I was a compulsive gambler, which I’m not. I eventually persuaded them to reopen my account and I have been a happy, as well as somewhat profitable, player ever since. I guess I shouldn’t be unhappy about this early experience because it shows that they care about their customers. One thing is for sure, next time I have a bad night, I’m going for a long walk instead of calling and telling them to close my account.
One feature that really stands out on Full Tilt Poker, and has really helped improve my game, is the ‘Watch the Pros Play’ feature. This is the coolest thing in the world. I can’t really understand why so many players bypass this step. You have a golden opportunity to see how the best poker players in the world go about the game. You’re able to learn what they do and why. In essence, it’s free poker training and your instructors are better than anyone else. I mean, how much simpler and better can it get? I have watched Phil Ivey and Mike Matusow the most, but I have watched others as well. I watch those two for completely different reasons. I watch Phil Ivey so I can improve my game. He’s the best of the best. And I watch Mike Matusow for entertainment purposes only. He’s a great player, but he eventually blows up and throws it all away. It’s really funny.
